Size of Characters
Over Estimates of the size of the character required are common issues. The three marks shown below have the same character size. the overall impression size will vary according to the depth of the mark’; this effect must be taken into consideration whenever critical space limitation are a factor.
Standard character sizes are: 1/32″, 1/16″, 3/32″, 1/8″, 5/32″, 3/16″, 1/4″, 5/16″,. 3/8″, and 1/2″
