Primera partners with Schreiner Protech
A new rugged-sector laser marking and printing system is combined with Schreiner Protech’s Color Laser Film for a turnkey, single-source solution.
Schreiner ProTech, a Germany-based manufacturer of innovative functional labels with value-added benefits for the automotive and engineering-based industries, will play a key role in a new laser marking system from Primera, a manufacturer of specialty printing equipment. A laser-markable film whose benefits include high durability and emission-free marking, Schreiner ProTech’s Color Laser Film (CLF) is now being utilized for Primera’s Catalyst Laser Marking Systems series, characterized by its efficient laser marking process, digital die-cutting, and affordable purchase price.
Primera’s Catalyst Laser Marking Systems series will exclusively use Schreiner ProTech’s CLF material, a proven and well-established product in the market due to its high quality, durability and robust scratch resistance.
The cooperation between Schreiner ProTech and Primera results in an optimal overall package with numerous advantages. Consumers are privy to the combined benefits of a high-quality laser marking system and the Color Laser Film, which meets exacting requirements typically available only in large quantities and at far higher costs.
The Catalyst Laser Marking Systems allows fast and easy production of highly durable, synthetic labels for a wide range of rough-service applications. Labels produced with lasers, including Catalyst, are typically used to replace metal plates or far less durable labels produced by resin thermal transfer printers on polyester substrates.
Typical applications requiring such high-durability labels include the US Department of Defense’s IUID program, UDI labels for medical devices and healthcare equipment, automobile VIN and under-hood part number, warning and instruction labels, aerospace and solar panel labels, serial tags for outdoor power equipment, vehicle and marine spare parts, building tools and materials, and more.
